Be curious. The first step towards learning, is to be interested. Curiosity will pave the way for you to learn and grow, whether it’s science, philosophy, or the arts.
Most of the time they’re just happy to get on with their business around humans. Sometimes they get a little too curious, usually after a minute they’ll realise you’re not food or a good place to sit, but if they bother you then it’s best to just move away.
Remember they sting to defend themselves or their nest, and from their point of view humans are gigantic, unpredictable and potentially very dangerous creatures.
It’s understandable if you’re scared of them, but please don’t say they’re evil!
Tumblr’s new ban on NSFW content is working really well! Several historical blogs that I follow have been flagged as inappropriate for posting photos of Classical nude sculptures and paintings which are on public display in museums worldwide, and I’ve only been followed and reblogged by 5 porn blogs today! What a successful implementation of a totally useful and not at all spurious ban!
